Abstrak

Masa remaja merupakan tahap kehidupan yang ditandai dengan perkembangan penting yaitu aspek fisik, psikologis, emosional, dan sosial. Dalam beberapa tahun terakhir, kesehatan jiwa remaja meningkatkan perhatian dari para ahli. Hal ini dikarenakan usia dini dari episode oertama gangguan jiwa terjadi pada usia sebelum 14 tahun. Remaja di SMPN 21 Tanjung Jabung Timur belum mengetahui tentang kesehatan jiwa pada remaja. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membantu meningkatkan pengetahuan remaja SMPN 21 Tanjung Jabung Timur tentang kesehatan jiwa dan bagaimana penanganan awal jika terjadi masalah kesehatan jiwa pada teman di sekolah.  Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 21 Kabupaten Tanjung Jabung Timur sebagai mitra kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi, pengukuran pre-test dan post-test kondisi kesehatan jiwa pada remaja. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan remaja tentang kesehatan jiwa setelah diberikan edukasi kesehatan jiwa sebesar 74,4%. Edukasi kesehatan jiwa penting untuk dilakukan sebagai upaya pencegahan masalah kesehatan jiwa pada remaja.
